Explore King Street

There's a reason Charleston, SC has won more than 40 awards since 2011. Accolades include Friendliest City in the U.S., Top Travel Destination, Top City to Visit, and King Street won top 10 Best Shopping Streets in the U.S.

Charleston was also voted #2 Best Girls Trip, probably due to all the shopping! You can shop high-end brands at The Shops at Belmond Place like Gucci and Louis Vuitton, or shop at some of the coolest vintage shops and unique clothing boutiques.

While staying at 493 King Street, you'll be a short walk from some of the best restaurants in Charleston, including Halls ChopHouse, MacIntosh, Indaco, Stars Restaurant Rooftop & Grill, Basil, and The Ordinary. Check out Charleston Eater before your next meal to get some great ideas of the most popular places to eat during your stay.

If the nightlife is something you're looking for, King Street is the place to be on a Friday or Saturday night. Enjoy sushi at O-Ku, which turns into a dance club after dinner service, or walk on over to The Cocktail Club for a more reserved and relaxed experience. Sports enthusiasts may be interested in visiting Charleston Beerworks or King Street Grill for a major sporting event. Charleston isn't known for having many clubs, but if that's what you're looking for, definitely check out Mynt or Republic.
